DC Glider
Danyelle’s thoughts:
The Glider is a multi-purpose bit that can be used two different ways, as the slide is not directly in the center of the shank. I generally use it so that the purchase is longer than the actual shank. This essentially will give a person more lift. By flipping it the other way, you’ll have less purchase and more shank, giving less lift and more direct lateral pull, which can help a horse to follow your hand rather than lift up and away from it. The differences are minor, but exist! We also offer a floating mouthpiece option, giving the bit a “double gag” feel, and a locked option where the mouthpiece is welded solid on the sliding gag ring. Floating will have a slightly delayed and smooth reaction, while the locked mouthpiece will give a more instant response.
I am a fan of this shank and the diversity it has. My favorite mouthpieces are the two-piece twisted wire and the two-piece square.
